Abstract:
Provided is a metal cord-rubber composite that is formed by coating a metal cord with a rubber composition, that experiences no reduction in initial adhesiveness, and that has low loss properties, and is characterized in that: N atoms, Cu atoms, and a Zn atoms are present on the metal cord surface, the content of N atoms on the metal cord surface being 2 to 60 atom% and the Cu/Zn ratio thereof being 1 to 4; the rubber composition comprises silica which has a CTAB specific surface area of 170 m2/g or more and carbon black, wherein the total amount of the silica and the carbon black is 35 parts by mass or more to 100 parts by mass and the blending ratio of the silica to the total amount of the silica and the carbon black is 0.05 to 0.5. Also provided is a tire component or member using the metal cord-rubber composite.
