Abstract:
A metal graphite grounding brush mainly composed of silver according to the present invention grounds a shaft by being in sliding contact with the circumferential surface of the shaft. The mass proportion of the silver in the brush is more than 30% but not more than 90%; the mass proportion of a carbonaceous material containing a volatile component in the brush is less than 70% but not less than 10%; and if the total mass of the silver and the carbonaceous material is taken as 100%, the content of the volatile component is from 2.0% to 15%. This metal graphite grounding brush reliably grounds a shaft and suppresses noises and the like on a car radio, while having a long service life and good strength.
