The present invention addresses the problem of providing a metal-rubber complex having improved adhesion between the metal and rubber. The means for solving this problem is a metal-rubber complex (10) provided with a metal (1) and a rubber (2) of which at least a portion is adhered to the metal, the complex being characterized by having a ratio (C1/C2) of 7.0 or greater in terms of the total concentration (C1) of at least one type of metallic element selected from the group consisting of bismuth, copper, antimony, silver, niobium, molybdenum, zirconium, and nickel in a region (B1) within 100 nm to the rubber side from an adhesive interface (AI) of the metal (1) and the rubber (2), to the total concentration (C2) of at least one type of metallic element selected from the group consisting of bismuth, copper, antimony, silver, niobium, molybdenum, zirconium, and nickel in a region (B2) 100-200 nm toward the rubber side from the adhesive interface (AI) of the metal (1) and the rubber (2).
