Abstract:
A method of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system supporting a shared spectrum channel access is provided. The method comprises: receiving, from a base station (BS), configuration information associated with a subcarrier spacing (SCS) of a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble, a root sequence index for the PRACH preamble, and zeroCorrelationZone (ZCZ) configuration information; determining a sequence length for the PRACH preamble based on the configuration information associated with the SCS of the PRACH preamble; determining a sequence number for the PRACH preamble based on the root sequence index; determining a cyclic shift for the PRACH preamble based on the ZCZ configuration information; and transmitting, to the base station, the PRACH preamble based on the sequence number, the cyclic shift and the sequence length.
