Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for the bacterial in situ repairing of soil contaminated with arsenic, wherein the method involves selecting Pseudomonas putida strain MnB1, ATCC 23483 and adding same into soil contaminated with arsenic. Under the effect of the bacteria, the strain uses divalent iron and manganese from the soil as electron donors to introduce same so as to form an active iron manganese composite oxide and also conduct the in situ repair of arsenic in acidified soil. Under the effect of bacteria, exchangeable-form arsenic in soil can be converted into residual-form arsenic, thereby reducing the migration and bio-availability of the arsenic in soil and conducting the in situ immobilization of the arsenic in soil. The process involves simple operations, has low processing costs and wide applicability, and does not involve secondary pollution.
