Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are disclosed for performing closed access group (CAG) verification. In one example an anchor base station forms a communications connection with a user equipment (UE) in a CAG cell operated by the base station. When the connection has been released the anchor base station receives, from a further base station, a message indicating that the UE has requested resumption of the communication connection in a CAG cell operated by the further base station. The anchor base station performs CAG membership verification for the UE. In another example a base station receives, from a UE a message for resumption of a communication connection suspended in a CAG cell operated by an anchor base station. The base station performs CAG membership verification for the CAG.
