Abstract:

A method of caustic reduction treatment for polyester fibers, comprising subjecting polyester fibers to caustic reduction treatment with the use of a homogeneous treatment liquid composed substantially of an alkylene glycol and a caustic reduction agent, so that polyester-derived components resulting from caustic reduction removal from fibers can be recovered safely and easily as active substances.
