The invention relates to mass collective games and may be used to conduct different types of lotteries.

The author has proposed a number of methods to conduct lottery (see patents WO2015147694, WO20151422140) as well as pertinent devices (see patents WO2015147695, WO2015142215). The following method of conducting lottery includes several stages as follows.

Stage one - lottery terms and conditions are established:

lottery terms and conditions and date when the lottery shall be conducted are published (dates of lottery when lottery is periodic),

establishment of values of main and additional winnings (absolute or contingent),

establishment of criteria governing formation of main and additional winnings;

establishment of conditions to benefit from main and additional winnings.

Stage two - lottery database is formed;

personal data of the participant shall be recorded at the time of application;

applications shall be registered real-time, and numbers to the tickets shall be assigned in the order applications were submitted,

registration shall record time of application and time when the lottery ticket is sold.

Stage three - conducting the lottery:

drawing of the main prize involves all registered numbers of the tickets of the lottery,

Turning of the lottery drum allows drawing of winning numbers as follows:

lottery drum is filled with balls bearing digits from 0 to 9,

number of lottery tickets and row of digits shall be established,

establishment of numbers of the winning ticket starts with a digit in the first row, therefore, lottery drum shall be loaded with the balls with sequence of numbers from 0 to the first digit, one digit at a time is draw when the drum is turned,

in order to establish digits in the following rows of the numbers of the winning ticket lottery drum is filled with balls with their number depending on a digit drawn before establishing the previous digit - if previous digit drawn coincides with the relevant digit in the row, the lottery drum shall include balls with a sequence of numbers from 0 to the relevant digit in the row, and if the previous digit drawn is below the relevant digit in the row, the lottery drum shall include balls with sequence of numbers from 0 to 9,

The above known methods have an advantage: all lottery tickets sold are involved in drawing a winning ticket, yet it has a weakness: it is very simple, and therefore of little interest to the participants.

The author has proposed certain material changes eliminating the said weakness: the author proposes revising conditions for submission of applications, introducing a number of additional winnings, and a method to establish these.

Lottery method proposed includes 3 stages.

Stage one - lottery terms and conditions are established:

lottery terms and conditions and date when the lottery shall be conducted are published (dates of lottery when lottery is periodic),

establishment of values of main and additional winnings (absolute or contingent),

establishment of criteria governing formation of main and additional winnings;

establishment of conditions to benefit from main and additional winnings.

Stage two - lottery database is formed:

personal data of a participant shall be recorded at the time of application,

Applications shall be registered real-time, and the numbers to the ticket shall be assigned in the order applications were submitted or on time provided by application of a participant, registration shall record time of application and time a lottery ticket is sold,

minimum time frame recorded on a lottery ticket is 1 second, numbers to tickets purchased within an interval of 1 second are assigned randomly.

Stage three - conducting a lottery:

drawing of the main winning involves all registered tickets of a lottery,

Winning ticket is established by turning lottery drum as follows:

lottery drum is filled with balls bearing digits from 0 to 9,

number of lottery tickets and a row of digits shall be established,

establishment of a number of a numbers of the winning ticket starts with a digit in the first row, therefore, lottery drum shall be loaded with the balls with sequence of numbers from 0 to the first digit, in order to establish digits in the following rows of the numbers of the winning ticket lottery drum is filled with balls with their number depending on a digit drawn before establishing the previous digit - if previous digit drawn coincides with the relevant digit in the row, the lottery drum shall include balls with a sequence of numbers from 0 to the relevant digit in the row, and if the previous digit drawn is below the relevant digit in the row, the lottery drum shall include balls with sequence of numbers from 0 to 9.

Additional winnings for the winning tickets or sequence of tickets are established as follows: lottery drum is used to establish the arithmetic sign of adjustment of lottery tickets (+ / -), to establish a row of adjustment (one-digit, two-digit, three-digit, etc., including zero-digit) and digital value of adjustment,

new temporary numbers to lottery tickets involved in lottery; lottery tickets shall be temporarily modified (increased), in case of "+" adjustment, or decreased, in case of "-" adjustment, as established by digital value of the adjustment, shall be allocated;

lottery tickets scoring additional prize(s) with the temporarily modified numbers after adjustment shall be established using the lottery drum,

original numbers on the winning tickets shall be restored.

Description of lottery conducting method.

Conduct of a lottery starts with publication of lottery conditions on all mass media, including online, in the press, on the radio, and TV. Publication shall include lottery date, price of lottery ticket, procedure and methods of sale lottery tickets, criteria governing formation of main and additional winnings, values of the main and additional winnings (both absolute and contingent), as well as terms and conditions and methods to collect the main and additional winnings.

Forming of lottery details starts as soon as a lottery participant submits an application to take part and pays a certain financial contribution. An application is submitted using communications listed by a lottery organiser, i.e. online, by telephone, or directly at special outlets or terminals. Once a payment takes place, a lottery participant gains his/her civil and legal rights to take part in a lottery, becomes eligible to the main and additional winnings, and may claim these if he/she wins.

A lottery organiser, upon receipt of an application including payment, shall register details of a lottery participant, time an application is received, assign numbers to a lottery ticket, and inform a lottery participant. Applications shall be registered real-time, and ticket numbers shall be assigned in the order applications were submitted. Minimum time frame recorded on a lottery ticket is 1 second. Numbers to tickets purchased within an interval of 1 second are assigned randomly.

It may happen that a lottery participant requests registration at a later time, based on his/her preference. Details of the lottery participant shall then be entered in the lottery database realtime, and a ticket number shall be assigned when the preferred time of lottery ticket purchase comes. Preferred time of lottery ticket purchase may be given to the precision of a second.

Details of the lottery participants, including full information on conduct of lottery, are stored on the server(s) of the organiser.

Lottery game starts with the deadline for applications to take part in the lottery. Drawing of the main prize involves all registered tickets of a lottery. A total number of lottery tickets and row of digits included in the same shall be established. Establishment of a winning ticket starts with a digit in the first row, consequently, lottery drum includes balls with a sequence of numbers from 0 to the first digit,

in order to establish digits in the following rows of the numbers of the winning ticket lottery drum is filled with balls with their number depending on a digit drawn before establishing the previous digit - if previous digit drawn coincides with the relevant digit in the row, the lottery drum shall include balls with a sequence of numbers from 0 to the relevant digit in the row, and if the previous digit drawn is below the relevant digit in the row, the lottery drum shall include balls with sequence of numbers from 0 to 9.

Additional winning shall be established indirectly. First, an arithmetic sign of adjustment (+ / -) is established, followed by a row of adjustment (one-digit, two-digit, three-digit, etc., including zero-digit), and lastly, a digital value of adjustment is established.

New temporary numbers shall be allocated to lottery tickets involved in lottery, and included in the database; consequently, lottery ticket numbers shall be modified (increased), in case of "+" adjustment, or decreased, in case of "-" adjustment, as established by the digital value of temporary adjustment.

Lottery tickets scoring additional prize(s) with temporarily modified numbers shall be established using the lottery drum (in equivalent procedure as with the main winning).

Original numbers of winning tickets shall be restored. Main and additional winnings, as well as symbol of a temporary adjustment and numeric value may be established using the same lottery drum (see above), or using parallel drums, respecting sequence and other conditions.

Main and additional winnings, as well as an arithmetic sign of a temporary adjustment and numeric value may be established using other instruments, such as rotating spheres, vacuum tubes, etc.

Main and additional winnings, as well as an arithmetic sign of a temporary adjustment and numeric value may be established by computer, containing random number generation software installed.

Lottery examples

Additional winnings "a sequence of alike numbers in the temporary numbers of a lottery tickets" (11, 22, 33 ... 99, 111, 222, 333 ... 999 etc.) or "a special sequence of numbers in the temporary numbers of a lottery tickets" (sequence of numbers 12, 123, 1234, 12345, 123456 etc.; reverse sequence 21, 321, 4321, 54321 etc.; round numbers 10, 20, 30... 100, 200, 300...1000, 2000, 3000 etc.) proceed as follows.

Lottery drum shall be used to establish a temporary adjustment; first, arithmetic sign of adjustment (+ / -) is established, followed by a row of adjustment (number of digits), and lastly, digital value of adjustment is established. Numbers of lottery tickets shall be temporarily modified (by adding or subtracting digital value of adjustment). All lottery tickets with temporarily modified numbers meeting the above requirements score additional winnings;

original numbers of winning tickets shall be restored.

Principle of additional adjustment may also be employed to establish different additional winnings.

Numbers of the ticket winning the main prize usually may be established with certainty, since the draw involves all lottery tickets, openly, and with all participants present (or during a live broadcast). A different procedure applies when winning tickets are drawn resulting in additional winnings. Since additional winnings always relate to particular lottery conditions, the above invention proposes an indirect method for establishment of additional winnings, when, with lottery participants present, conditions of additional winnings are first established, and the winning tickets are established based on these conditions. This ensures "transparency". This method also allows lottery organisers to make lotteries more appealing.
