Title:
METHOD OF CONTROLLING HYBRID OPERATION OF TRAINS HAVING DIFFERENT FORMATION LENGTHS AND COMMUNICATION-BASED TRAIN CONTROL SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/067509
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method of controlling hybrid operation of trains having different formation lengths and a communication-based train control (CBTC) system. The method comprises: before a train travels into a CBTC area, determining, according to a preset filter area, whether any other vehicle exists in front of the train in a travel direction thereof (S100); if no other vehicle exists in front of the train in the travel direction thereof, determining a formation length of the train according to the filter area (S200); determining, according to the formation length of the train and the filter area, whether any other vehicle exists behind the train in the travel direction thereof, and if no other vehicle exists behind the train in the travel direction thereof, providing the train with a movement authorization (S300). The solution can determine whether any other vehicle exists in front of a train through a preset filter area, determine a formation length of the train through the filter area, and then determine whether any other vehicle exists behind the train to quickly provide the train with a movement authorization in time and also to support hybrid operation of trains having different formation lengths.
