Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling a soft buffer for a downlink (DL) hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) in a wireless communication system supporting a carrier aggregation (CA) of a time division duplex (TDD) carrier and a frequency division duplex (FDD) carrier. A user equipment according to the present invention receives TDD-FDD CA configuration information for the CA of the TDD carrier and the FDD carrier from a base station, applies a TDD-FDD CA configuration on the basis of the TDD-FDD CA configuration information, and calculates the number of soft channel bits for each code block stored in each serving cell in the soft buffer on the basis of the TDD-FDD CA configuration information. According to the present invention, when a TDD-FDD CA (or dual connection) is configured in the user equipment, the soft buffer can effectively be controlled with respect to a sub-serving cell and HARQ reliability can be improved.
