Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for efficiently determining disease resistance or sensitivity with respect to bacterial canker of kiwifruit caused by the Psa3 strain, wherein a next-generation sequencer is used to comprehensively analyze and compare the genomic sequence of a wild species of kiwifruit, Actinidia rufa, that exhibits disease resistance to the bacterial canker and the genomic sequences of a crossbred progeny and the like that exhibit sensitivity to the bacterial canker. Furthermore, using the results of trait evaluation relating to disease resistance to the bacterial canker, 92 single nucleotide polymorphisms that are correlated to the disease resistance and can be used as CAPS markers were extracted.
