Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to discover, with respect to a pair of metal gaskets, a welding location in which surface pressure loss of a seal bead can be prevented. Bonding surfaces 13 of a pair of metal gaskets 11 are bonded by welding, the metal gaskets 11 including a seal bead 31 enclosing the periphery of an opening 12 and a plurality of structures S protruding from the bonding surfaces 13. A pressure-sensitive medium 101 is interposed between the seal bead 31 and a counterpart member, and the pair of bonded metal gaskets 11 are stacked together with the counterpart member and fastened. The stack is then unfastened, the pressure-sensitive medium 101 is removed, and a surface pressure loss location C of the seal bead 31 is detected from a mark left on the pressure-sensitive medium 101. An additional welding location W2 is determined within a rectangular region R enclosed with the four sides thereof contacting, of the plurality of structures S, a first structure S1 closest to the surface pressure loss location C and a second structure S2 closest to the first structure S1.
