Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a method for determining a packet forwarding and backup path and a related device. The method comprises: a first network node uses a first type algorithm to calculate a packet forwarding and backup path reaching a second network node, wherein the second network node is an object of node protection or link protection, the packet forwarding and backup path comprises a constrained path, the constrained path is a link of an explicit identification, and the first type algorithm is a flexible algorithm Flex-Algo; the first network node obtains a first link label of the constrained path, the first link label being a link label based on a second type algorithm; and the first network node generates a forwarding table item of the packet forwarding and backup path, the forwarding table item comprising the first link label. According to the embodiments of the present application, a computing resource of a network node can be effectively saved, and a storage space occupied by a label in the node is reduced.
