Abstract:
A method for determining a state of a grinding stone includes: a step for converting time waveform data of a supervisory signal into frequency waveform data, the supervisory signal being output from a sensor (15) placed near a fixed position of an object (W) to be ground and detecting vibration of the grinding stone during grinding of the object (W) to be ground; a step for extracting an impact amount from the frequency waveform data to determine machining resistance during grinding of the object (W) to be ground on the basis of the impact amount; and a step for detecting the state of the grinding stone on the basis of the machining resistance.
