Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and a device for controlling the functional unit of a motor vehicle. According to the inventive method, a sequence of functions is carried out in a functional program tested by a safety program, which is in turn monitored by a monitoring module (43). Both the functional program and the safety program have a modular format, whereby the safety program is monitored in several steps corresponding to the number of modules (56, 58).
