Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a method and a device for the diagnosis of a power source state wherein acceleration of a control cycle is not necessary, excessive increase in responsiveness is not necessary, and a driver is not bothered by a feeling of strangeness. [Solution] A method for the diagnosis of a power source state to perform diagnosis of the state of a power source of a vehicle, the vehicle comprising an electric control system to which electric power is supplied from the power source, and a vector-controlled motor, wherein: when an ignition key is switched from ON to OFF, or from OFF to ON, the diagnosis of the power source state is started; at the start of the diagnosis, an angle of the motor is read and added with an offset, and the value obtained by the addition is stored as a pseudo motor angle; during the diagnosis, vector control is performed on the basis of the pseudo motor angle; and the state of the power source is diagnosed on the basis of a voltage supplied to the motor.
