Abstract:
Provided in embodiments of the present invention are a method and device for downlink data transmission. The method comprises: a network device receives carrier aggregation (CA) capability indication information transmitted by a terminal device; the CA capability indication information is used for indicating to the network device that the terminal device supports in a first frequency band a type one intra-band non-continuous carrier aggregation (intra-band NC CA) combination, and the maximum downlink spectral width supported by the terminal device; the network device determines a first CA combination from at least one type one intra-band NC CA combination of the first frequency band on the basis of the CA capability indication information, the first CA combination comprises at least two component carriers (CC); the network device transmits downlink data to the terminal device via the first CA combination, thus increasing, when the first frequency band is a license-free frequency band, the spectrum utilization rate for the license-free frequency band (that is, B46), and also increasing the downlink throughput of the terminal device.
