Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for closing the bottom of a composite packaging, especially beverage packs, that are folded up on the basis of packaging covers. The bottom zone of the composite packaging that is folded around a mandrel of the mandrel wheel is heated (activated) by passing hot air through air outlets (6, 7) of a heating nozzle (1). The aim of the invention is to provide such a device with a heating nozzle (1) that is simple in design and construction and that allows an even heating of the zone of the folded up bottom of the packaging. To this end, the heating nozzle (1) has a rectangular cross-section that substantially corresponds to the shape of the mandrel and a plurality of interlinked boxes (2, 3, 4) and a lid (5). During the heating step, the heating nozzle is evenly guided across the zones of the packaging cover (M) to be sealed. Reference points (8) facilitate the monitoring of the optimum activation temperature. The invention further relates to a device for carrying out the inventive method.
