Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a device (1) for the optical target tracking of a target object (5) which can be irradiated with a high-energy laser (2), the target object (5) being illuminated with an illumination laser (6). In order to make it possible to precisely align the laser beam (4) of the high-energy laser (2) with the target object (5) even if flames and/or smoke triggered by the laser beam (4) develop on the target object (5) or said object is self-luminous (interference), the invention proposes differential image determination. To this end, two camera images of the target object (5) are synchronously captured and stored with the same exposure time in different wavelength ranges, in each case using a separate camera (14, 15), the first wavelength range being selected such that the radiation of the illumination laser (6) can be measured. The second wavelength range is slightly offset from the first wavelength range such that the interference caused by the irradiation with the high-energy laser (2) is measured instead of the radiation of the illumination laser (6) itself. If the second camera image is now electronically subtracted from the first camera image, a differential image is produced comprising a target object freed from the interference.
