Abstract:
A method for preparing drilling mud where the solid and the fluid phases of the drilling mud are mixed in a container (2) until a homogene suspension is obtained, after which the drilling mud is passed, under the pressure, through openings (5 or 6) provided in a piston-like mixing member (3 or 4), the diameter of the openings being bigger than the maximum size of a single particle of the solid phase, but lesser than the diameter of the particles aggregates before obtaining the dispersed drilling mud. A device for implementing the method comprises positive and negative electrodes separated from one another with a semipermeable partition which divides the container (2) into two chambers, one of them being intended for preparation of the drilling mud and another for collecting the products of oxidizing reaction
