Abstract:

Provided is a method and device for producing nonwoven fabric that inhibits side parts of a long nonwoven fabric from becoming thinner and curbs increases in the size of the production device. A device for producing nonwoven fabric (10, 80) produces nonwoven fabric (11) by discharging a solution (23) from nozzles (31a-31e) in a state wherein a voltage is applied across a collector (43) and the nozzles (31a-31e). The nozzles (31a-31e) are arranged in the width direction of the collector (43) and a charging belt (37). Extended members (71, 81) are provided to the outside of the nozzles (31a, 31e) in a state separated from the tips (31D) of these nozzles (31a, 31e). The extended members (71, 81) are charged to be the same polarity as the nozzles (31a, 31e) so as to repel the solution (23) heading toward the collection material (43) inward in the width direction.
