Abstract:
Disclosed in various embodiments of the present invention are a method and a device, comprising: a communication module; a memory; and a processor operatively connected to the communication module or the memory, wherein the processor is configured to receive proximity information from an external electronic device through the communication module, determine whether the external electronic device is being worn on the basis of the proximity information, receive posture information from the external electronic device through the communication module, determine whether the external electronic device is being worn on the basis of the posture information, and recognize a wearing state of the external electronic device on the basis of the determination result. Various embodiments are possible.
