Abstract:
Provided is a method for discarding a used bodily waste management article whereby a bodily waste management article, which carries bodily waste having been discharged from the human body and adsorbed thereon, can be safely and efficiently discarded in an effectively usable form. In a tank (11), a paper diaper is washed by stirring in a liquid mixture of glycerol with a vegetable oil under heating and then the washed paper diaper is taken out from the liquid mixture. Next, the paper diaper taken out from the liquid mixture in the tank (11) is cut with a cutter (12). Then, the paper diaper taken out from the cutter (12) is heated in a tank (13) in a reduced pressure environment. After taking out the paper diaper from the tank (13), the liquid mixture adhered to the paper diaper is separated with separators (14, 15). Then, the paper diaper coming out from the separator (15) is burnt as a fuel in a boiler (16).
