Abstract:
A method for fabricating a multi-color cellulose acetate spectacle frame comprises the following steps: S10, providing a three-color cellulose acetate sheet constructed of multiple layers arranged in a thickness direction, wherein each layer has a single color; S20, using a CNC engraving and cutting machine to cut an outline of the three-color cellulose acetate sheet; S30, performing a baking process; S40, placing the three-color cellulose acetate sheet in a coarse die of a hydraulic press, and pressing the three-color cellulose acetate sheet to cause displacement of a portion thereof by a distance equal to a thickness of the superficial colored layer; S50, using a water grinder to remove a superficial layer of the displaced portion; S60, placing and baking the three-color cellulose acetate sheet in an oven again; S70, placing the baked three-color cellulose acetate sheet in a finish die of the hydraulic press, and pressing the three-color cellulose acetate sheet to cause displacement of the displaced portion again by a certain distance; S80, using the CNC engraving and cutting machine to cut an inner loop to form a spectacle rim; and S90, mounting spectacle rim fittings on the cut spectacle rim. The method for fabricating a multi-color cellulose acetate spectacle frame overcomes a limitation of using a multi-color cellulose acetate sheet, thereby enabling a spectacle frame to exhibit a multi-color effect.
