Abstract:

Disclosed are a method for focal point compensation, and an ultrasonic medical apparatus therefor. Provided are a method for focal point compensation and an ultrasonic medical apparatus therefor, the method transmitting high-intensity ultrasonic waves, of a strength equal to or lower than a preset output strength, to a subject (an affected area of a patient), and compensating the distance of the focal point by means of the corresponding reflected signal, so that an error is not generated between the location of the focal point of the subject and the actual location at which the ultrasonic waves are focused during the transmission of high-intensity focused ultrasonic waves.
