Abstract:
The invention relates to fire fighting techniques. The inventive method for forming an average-flow foam jet having a maximum range of action consists in supplying a jet of a foam-former solution to a grid inside a foam generator. The average-flow foam jet is formed behind the grid, compressed with the aid of a diffusion cell and supplied to a scene of fire. In order to obtain a foam jet whose range increases and density decreases away from the center of the jet towards a periphery thereof, ring fillings mounted on the jet center are used. Said ring fillings enable the flow of foam in the center of the jet to be reduced and increase said flow at the edge thereof. In order to cover a greater surface with the foam jet, the foam-former solution is supplied simultaneously from two or more nosepieces.
