METHOD OF IDENTIFYING MULTIPLE TRANSPORT STREAMS BASED ON USB INTERFACE

Disclosed is a method of identifying multiple transport streams (TS) based on a USB interface, comprising the following steps: a digital TV receiver identifies multiple TS respectively and multiplexes into one TS; the digital TV receiver encapsulates the TS into a USB packet and transmits to a conditional access module (CAM) via a transmission endpoint of a pair of USB endpoints on the USB interface; the CAM decapsulates and descrambles the USB packet transmitted by the digital TV receiver, and transmits back to the digital TV receiver after encapsulation; and the digital TV receiver receives the returned USB packet via a receiving endpoint of the pair of USB endpoints on the USB interface, decapsulates, demultiplexes and decodes the USB packet. The present invention realizes identification and processing of multiple TS via a USB interface in a machine-card separation system, so that a user can realize cross-TS functions of "recording while watching" and "picture in picture" by simply using a CAM. In addition, the present invention is based on a standard USB protocol, thus facilitating development and promotion.
