Title:
METHOD FOR THE IN VITRO PRODUCTION OF CARTILAGE-LIKE TISSUE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/104188
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method for the in vitro production of cartilage-like tissue is disclosed. Said method comprises the cultivation of chondrogenic cells in presence of chondroitin sulphate, preferably chondroitin-4-sulphate and/or chondroitin-6-sulphate. The resulting cartilage-like tissue can be used for the repair of chondral and/or osteochondral defects in subjects.
