Abstract:
A steel material and an aluminum material, to which a steel rivet comprising a head section and a shaft section is attached as a result of passing through the aluminum material, are positioned so as to overlap, with a resin layer sandwiched between the steel material and the tip-side of the shaft section of the aluminum material rivet. The rivet and the steel material are sandwiched by a pair of electrodes, and a current is passed between the electrodes in a pressurized state while performing spot welding while eliminating the resin layer between the electrodes. The radius of curvature R of the tip surface of the shaft section of the rivet is set at 10 mm to 300 mm, inclusive.
