Abstract:
A method of making an artificial nail (13) over a natural nail (3) comprises: • - positioning a rigid support comprising an outer surface (4) with predetermined shape and a thinned end (5) in such a way that the thinned end is interposed between the free end (9) of the natural nail and the underlying ungual bed (10); • - positioning an adhesive paper (6) on the finger in such a way that a substrate portion thereof is shaped as, and caused to adhere to the outer surface with predetermined shape of the support and two flaps are shaped as, and caused to partially adhere to the finger; • - applying a continuous layer (12) of material that is the precursor of the artificial nail on the outer surface of the natural nail and on the adhesive paper; • - making the precursor material harden; • - removing the support and the adhesive paper from the finger.
