Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for making a hydrophobic and oleophobic surface by using a crosslinking PDMS derivative. A method for providing a substrate surface with hydrophobicity and oleophobicity according to the present invention is designed to form hydroxyl groups on a substrate surface through plasma treatment and then apply a crosslinking PDMS derivative in which some substituents on the silicon atoms are hydrogen, whereby the substrate has remarkably improved wettability of a coating agent and can be endowed with sufficient hydrophobicity and oleophobicity without using other additive ingredients, thus finding advantageous applications in vapor recovery units/facilities, pipes, hoods, etc.
