Abstract:
According to the present invention, a biodegradable board is made of wood pulp and a thermoplastic biodegradable resin having a melting point of 100 to 170°C, wherein the content of the biodegradable resin is 1 to 100 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of wood pulp. The method for manufacturing a biodegradable board according to the present invention comprises mixing and dispersing 100 parts by weight of wood pulp and 1 to 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic biodegradable resin having a melting point of 100 to 170°C so as to obtain a mixture of the wood pulp and biodegradable resin, injecting the mixture of the wood pulp and biodegradable resin into a mold, and pressurizing the mixture at a temperature higher than the melting point of the biodegradable resin so as to mold a board. The board manufactured by the method of the present invention is made of only a biodegradable resin and wood pulp so as to be biodegradable and thus eco-friendly. The board manufactured by the method of the present invention comprises a thermoplastic biodegradable resin instead of conventional thermosetting resins, and enables, when the mixture is heated, secondary molding for transforming the board into a three-dimensional shape having various curvatures. Thus, the board of the present invention can be effectively used as a building flooring material and a vehicle component material such as a door trim and a headline.
