Abstract:
This method for manufacturing a glass plate comprises: an inverting step for inverting a front-side protective sheet 3 of a first glass plate 4 with a suction member 6 for inversion so as to expose a part of an upper end section 3a of a rear-side protective sheet 3 of the first glass plate 4; and a separation step for holding the first glass plate 4 and the front-side protective sheet 3 by means of a holding member 8 while pressing, with a pressing member 7, the upper end section 3a of the rear-side protective sheet 3 which has been exposed in the inverting step, and pulling and separating the first glass plate 4 and the front-side protective sheet 3 from a laminate 5. The suction member 6 for inverting has a first suction pad 6a and a second suction pad 6b, and in the inverting step, an overlap section 3c of the front-side protective sheet 3 is suctioned and held by the first suction pad 6a, and the upper end section 3a of the front-side protective sheet 3 is suctioned and held by the second suction pad 6b.
