Abstract:
A method for manufacturing an image display device according to an embodiment comprises: a step for preparing a first substrate including a circuit and a first insulating film covering the circuit, the circuit including a circuit element formed on an optically transmissive substrate; a step for forming on the first insulating film a layer including graphene; a step for forming on the layer including the graphene a semiconductor layer including a light-emitting layer; a step for forming a light-emitting element by etching the semiconductor layer; a step for forming a second insulating film covering the layer including the graphene, the light-emitting element, and the first insulating film; a step for forming a via penetrating through the first insulating film and the second insulating film; and a step for electrically connecting the light-emitting element with the circuit element through the via on a light-emitting surface of the light-emitting element opposite a surface thereof on the first insulating film side.
