Abstract:

Provided is a method for manufacturing a joint member with which manufacturing costs can be suppressed, and a joint member.　This method for manufacturing a joint member 10 provided with an outer race 20 and a sleeve 30, for use in a constant velocity joint 100, includes: an outer race manufacturing step S1 for manufacturing the outer race 20; a sleeve manufacturing step S2 for manufacturing the sleeve 30 as a separate member to the outer race 20; and a joining step S3 for joining together end portions, at one end in the axial direction, of the outer race 20 and the sleeve 30.
