Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a lightweight refractory insulating block, comprising the steps of: producing a first mixture by mixing expanded polystyrene beads, fumed silica, a surfactant, and a solvent; producing a second mixture by mixing the first mixture with cement; producing a block by injecting the second mixture in a mold and curing the same; and separating the cured block from the mold, and the block has high incombustibility and heat resistance and low thermal conductivity so as to have excellent fire resistance, and has excellent compression strength, absorption rate and sound damping characteristics so as to be commonly usable for various parts such as interior and exterior walls, fire partitions, walls, and a double wall of a building.
