Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a method for manufacturing a lithium ion cell having: a set including a cathode collector, cathode active material layer, separator, anode active material layer, and anode collector, laminated in that order; and a configuration in which the outer periphery of the cathode active material layer and the anode active material layer is sealed using a sealant, and an electrolyte is enclosed in the cell. The method for manufacturing is characterized by including a step for manufacturing a cathode and/or an anode by means of an electrode manufacturing step that includes: a supply step for preparing a frame-like sealant and a base member, and supplying, to the empty space surrounded by the sealant and the base member, an electrode active material composition containing electrode active material particles and an electrolyte; and a compression step in which the electrode active material composition is compressed to form an electrode active material layer.
