Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing an optical film, which includes drilling using an end mill, prevents quality deterioration of an inner circumferential surface of a hole, and is capable of drilling with high dimensional accuracy. This method for manufacturing a drilled optical film includes forming a workpiece by laminating a plurality of optical films, and a drilling step of drilling the workpiece using an end mill. The drilling step includes drilling a pilot hole in the workpiece with the end mill in a one-end supported state in which one axial end of the end mill is supported, followed by cutting an inner circumferential surface of the pilot hole with the end mill in a both-end supported state in which one and the other axial ends of the end mill are supported.
