Provided is a patterned chair wherein an elaborate pattern (graphic) made of a transparent material is imparted such that the pattern can be seen clearly from the both sides of the material and the pattern is resistant to mechanical contact from both sides.  A  method for manufacturing a patterned chair where the sitting portion and/or the backrest portion is (are) formed of a base material having such a configuration that the opposite sides of a pattern are sandwiched by transparent resin (A) and transparent resin (B), characterized in that the base material is produced by carrying out a step (1) for inserting a film having a printed pattern into a die at the time of injection molding the transparent resin (A), and transferring the pattern printed on the film onto the surface of the transparent resin (A) simultaneously with injection molding of the transparent resin (A), and then carrying out a step (2) for making an air gap between the pattern on the transparent resin (A) and a die by moving backward the die on the side where the film having a printed pattern is inserted, and injection molding the transparent resin (B) in that air gap.
