Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a plastic-based radiation-shielding body, a radiation-shielding body thereof, and a radiation shielding apparatus using same. In the present invention, tungsten powder is mixed with plastic resin powder, the tungsten powder is subdivided and mixed stepwise at intervals of 10 to 30 minutes to form a mixture, the mixture is dispersed and extruded at an extrusion temperature of 200 to 220°C to prepare compounding pellets, and the compounding pellets are subjected to injection molding. Thus, by containing high-concentration and highly dispersed tungsten, the present invention provides excellent radiation-shielding efficiency, ensures linearity and rigidity, provides non-clumping properties, and enables manufacture in various shapes and sizes, and thus can be applied to a medical radiation device, or air precision transportation equipment.
