Abstract:
This method for manufacturing polysulfone pellets uses a vented biaxial extruder. In said biaxial extruder, of the mixing units arranged further upstream than the most upstream vent portion, the mixing unit which is positioned closest to the vent portion furthest upstream is a screw configuration not using a reverse kneading disc. This method for manufacturing polysulfone pellets involves: supplying from a supply unit a raw polysulfone material; a first step for heating and melting said polysulfones; a first step for kneading the polysulfones; discharging from the vent unit the gas generated in a cylinder; forming strands by extruding the kneaded polysulfones from a strand die; and cutting the strands to form pellets. By means of the present invention, a method for manufacturing polysulfone pellets can be provided which is capable of improving productivity and which is not prone to the problems resulting from gas generated in the extruder.
