Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/101200
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Abstract] The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a porous ceramic article. In particular, 2,000 g of a mineral mixture is prepared by mixing 1,500 g of diatomite crushed to 325 mesh, 1,500 g of zeolite, and 500 g of granite soil in a weight ratio. An additive composition is prepared by mixing: 80 g of Styrofoam particles having a diameter of 5 mm (volume 8 L); 500 g of a mixture obtained by mixing 400 g of a liquid sodium silicate and 100 g of potassium silicate, as an inorganic adhesive; 200 g of borax; 50 g of potassium permanganate; and 100 cc of hydrogen peroxide to obtain a porous ceramic raw material by mixing 2,000 g of the mineral mixture and 930 g of the additive composition prepared above. Subsequently, the porous ceramic material is transferred to a punching process, is punched for 10 minutes at 50 kg/cm2, and is extruded by an extruder; a mold frame having a width of 60 cm, a length of 60 cm, and a height of 60 cm, is prepared for a buoy having a cubic shape consisting of a 3 mm-thick steel plate, wherein the mold frame is prepared to have an open top and bottom shape, that is, not having top and bottom portions; once the mold frame is placed on top of a metal plate having a thickness of 3 mm and a width and length of 70 cm, the aforementioned punched porous ceramic raw material is filled to a height of 20 cm inside the mold frame, and on the top thereof, cubic Styrofoam having a width of 20 cm, a length of 20 cm, and a height of 20 cm, is placed in the center thereof; the porous ceramic raw material punched in a fourth process is filled again in the front, back, left, right, and on top of the cubic Styrofoam, and molded so as to fill the mold frame having a width of 60 cm, a length of 60 cm, and a height of 60 cm; through-holes sized to 3 cm are formed vertically penetrating the cubic molded article at four points located at 10 cm width-wise and length-wise inside each corner of the cubic molded article; the cubic molded article is then transferred to a dryer and dried for 24-48 hours by a hot-air blower; 300-400 g of water is added to 1,000 g of a mixture consisting of a weight ratio of 25 g of quartz, 12 g of kaolin, 5 g of zinc oxide, 15 g of slaked lime, 25 g of feldspar, and 10 g of frits, wherein the mixture is introduced to a ball mill and pulverized for 24-48 hours, thereby producing an emulsion; the buoy having a cubic shape dried above is immersed in the emulsion, transferred to a dryer, and dried for 3-4 hours by a hot-air blower at 90℃; and the buoy treated with the emulsion above is then transferred to a calcination process and calcined for 11-12 hours at 1,300℃.
