Abstract:
The present invention is a press-molding device (30) for producing a press-molded article having a hat-shaped cross section by compressing a preform having a hat-shaped cross section between a punch (31), which is a first mold, and dies (32a, 32b), which are a second mold, and is characterized by being provided with: the punch (31) and the dies (32a, 32b), which constitute a compression mechanism for compressing side walls and a flange of the hat shape of the preform; compression blocks (34a, 34b), which constitute a first pressing mechanism for pressing an outer end portion of the flange of the hat shape of the preform; and a pad (35a), which constitutes a second pressing mechanism for pressing an upper end portion of the side walls of the hat shape of the preform.
