Abstract:
This method for manufacturing a ring member for a bearing comprises an inversion step, in which a ring-shaped workpiece member is clamped and deformed using a punch that is positioned on a first side in a prescribed direction and a die that is positioned on a second side. The punch has a first R surface that is formed in a circular arc shape. The die has a second R surface that is formed in a circular arc shape, and a taper surface that is slanted relative to the prescribed direction. The inversion step includes a first step, in which the punch and the die are used to deform the workpiece member while the first R surface and the second R surface are in contact with the workpiece member, and a second step, in which the punch and the die are used to deform the workpiece member while the first R surface and the taper surface are in contact with the workpiece member.
