Provided are a method of manufacturing a scroll compressor, and a scroll compressor, wherein a welded surface area is small, welding stresses are suppressed, and fastening strength is maintained. A method of manufacturing a scroll compressor, and a scroll compressor, provided with: a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll which are provided in a hermetically sealed vessel and which engage with one another in such a way that respective plate-shaped spiral teeth thereof form a compression chamber between one other on a base plate; a main shaft which drives the orbiting scroll by an eccentric shaft portion being inserted into a boss portion provided on the side of the orbiting scroll opposite to the plate-shaped spiral teeth; and a fixed frame which supports, in the radial direction and the axial direction, a movable frame supporting the main shaft in the radial direction, and which is welded inside the hermetically sealed vessel. The fixed frame is welded to the hermetically sealed vessel by means of a laser radiated from outside the hermetically sealed vessel.
