Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a thermoplastic resin composition to be used as a material of a soluble material for three-dimensional molding that is usable as a support member, said thermoplastic resin composition allowing easy control of the weight-average molecular weight thereof, having a sufficient strength when used in manufacturing a three-dimensional object with the use of an FDM type 3D printer, showing little coloration and excellent appearance qualities, having a high dissolution rate in neutral water and, therefore, being quickly removable from a three-dimensional object precursor without resort to the use of a strongly alkaline aqueous solution. The method for manufacturing a thermoplastic resin composition, which has dicarboxylic acid monomer units derived from a dicarboxylic acid component and in which the ratio of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid monomer unit derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component having a sulfonic acid group and/or sulfonic acid salt group is 10 mol% or more relative to the dicarboxylic acid monomer units, comprises a step of mixing an organic salt compound represented by general formula (I).
