Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for operating a powder press (1) having a control of the displacement of the driving cylinder (9-11 and 23-27; 2, 17;28) for at least the upper and lower tools (14, 15), wherein optionally either at least one servo pump (101-108) with in each case a drive motor (111) or at least one multi-way servovalve (117) is assigned to the respective drive cylinder, and wherein at least the rotational speed of the drive motor (111) and/or the switching position of the multi-way servovalve (117) is/are controlled by a control module (44), wherein a.) the controller structure of the control module (44, 44a) is composed of a two-degree-of-freedom controller, namely of a parallel connection consisting of an adaptive pilot control (67) and a conventional controller (70) with a closed control circuit, or b.) alternatively of an IMC control module (44a), namely of a series connection of a conventional controller (70) with a closed control circuit and of an adaptive pilot control (67).
