Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a technique for optimizing suction conditions for microparticles. The present invention provides a method for optimizing suction conditions for microparticles which includes: a particle number counting step in which the points in time at which microparticles pass by a prescribed position in a main flow path through which a liquid including the microparticles flows are detected, the microparticles are sucked from the main flow path into a microparticle suction flow path by a prescribed suction force from the microparticle suction flow path, and the number of microparticles sucked into the microparticle suction flow path is counted; and a step in which the amount of time that should elapse after the prescribed position is passed before suction by the microparticle suction flow path is performed is determined on the basis of the counted number of microparticles, and the amounts of time from the points in time at which the microparticles pass by the prescribed position in the main flow path until suction is performed.
