Title:
METHOD FOR PREDICTING CHANGE IN SHAPE OF PRESS-MOLDED ARTICLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/130683
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The method for predicting a change in the shape of a press-molded article according to the present invention predicts a change in the shape of a press-molded article 1 having a U-shaped cross section comprising a top plate 3 and a pair of vertical walls 5 and including a curved shape along a lengthwise direction in a top surface view, said change in shape being a twisting at the ends in the lengthwise direction caused by alleviation of stress over time after springback which occurs after release from a mold. The method includes a step (S1) in which the shape and residual stress of the press-formed article immediately after the springback are acquired; a step (S3) in which a value for the stress which is more alleviated and reduced than that of the residual stress immediately after the springback is set for at least one of the pair of vertical walls 5 of the press-formed article 1 immediately after the springback; and a step (S5) in which a shape that balances moments of forces is determined for the press-formed article 1 for which the stress value that is alleviated and reduced has been set.
