Abstract:
A method for preparing ethylene sulfate, comprising: dropwise adding ethylene glycol into thionyl chloride, raising the temperature to 50-80°C, keeping the temperature for 2-4 h, and then vacuumizing to obtain a reaction solution containing ethylene sulfite; rectifying and purifying the reaction solution under a vacuum condition; mixing ethylene sulfite having a purity greater than 99.2% and dichloroethane, dropwise adding a sodium hypochlorite solution into the mixed solution, then stirring and standing to obtain an organic phase; adjusting the pH of the organic phase and then adding a catalyst, dropwise adding the sodium hypochlorite solution, keeping the temperature for 1-1.5 h, and performing standing and liquid separation to obtain a crude product; and dehydrating the crude product, and recrystallizing and drying same to obtain ethylene sulfate.
